Melbourne City v Sydney






Sydney FC will be decimated for this one and also their fifth game in about 15-16 days. They will almost surely be without captain Brosque and Simon through injury (both forwards), while Carney, Faty, Ryall and Grant are all suspended. This will mean they have very youthful line up both in attack and defence. They also play Asian powerhouse Guangzhou Evergrande midweek to make things even tougher and will hope to come through that match injury free. They already lost first game in ACL so another loss midweek will be very costly in that tournament.

In the A-League they are in poor form, not winning any of their last six and travel to Melbourne again after last week's 1-1 draw with Victory. Melboune City lost 2-1 in Wellington last weekend but were without Harry Novillo who will be back this weekend. Melbourne City are fourth and Sydney sixth. They are a real danger of missing the playoffs now that Perth have found some good form.

In the last six between these two City have the advantage 2-3-1. All in all I think Sydney's tough run of matches will catch up with them and expect odds to only go shorter on Melbourne City.
